EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Meet Todd Mullis, an HVAC Mechanic II in the Water Department. He has worked for the City of Tampa for over four years, and loves that his role helps keep staff comfortable & able to do their jobs efficiently.
What’s something unique about your position that others wouldn’t know? I think what’s unique about my position is that there are so many different things you can work on. Water coolers, small air conditioners, big chillers, rooftop units, fans - there’s a lot to do here. There’s a lot of work behind the scenes that people don’t see.
What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I like to boat, ride four-wheelers, motorcycles, fish, stuff like that.
What is your favorite meal to cook? I like to grill. I grill chicken, steak, ribs, pork chops, sausage, stuff like that. In the kitchen, I’m not very good.
What is your dream vacation? I want to go out West to Arizona. I’ve never been out West, and I want to take my wife, and my kids and spend a couple of weeks out there. I would like to go, where we can ride the side-by-sides and the four-wheelers in the desert.
What’s your favorite holiday and why? Christmas is my favorite holiday because that’s when all the family gets together
