Learn more and apply here (https://www.tampa.gov/BackyardDigester) .

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Meet Marie Butler, Client Facilitator I in the Development & Growth Management Division. She has worked for the City of Tampa for almost two years. She enjoys that her role helps residents navigate complex issues and find their solutions.

Where’s your favorite restaurant in Tampa? My favorite restaurant is Liang’s Bistro. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, I am always on search of authentic new your style Chinese food and they are the closest.

What’s your favorite meal to cook? I have to fall back on my Haitian culture and descent. My favorite meal to cook is Griot and Banan Peze which translates to fried pork and fried plantain with a side of pikliz which is a spicy slaw made with cabbage, scotch bonnet peppers onion vinegar and lime juice. If you are ready for a kick, that will do it.

What reality show would you want to be on? I can’t really see myself on a reality show, but I would love to be a contestant on Family Feud. My family can always count on me choosing the top answers.

What are you binging on Netflix right now? The new season of Bridgerton!

Open House - City Center's new outdoor sculpture - Your Streets, Your Stories.

Open House – New Public Art Concept

YOU can contribute to our city's newest public art piece - right from your computer or phone! A new outdoor sculpture is coming to the City Center at Hanna Avenue. For the building’s expansive outdoor plaza, the artist duo AREA C Projects has designed Open House: a large-scale sculpture that visualizes City Center as a place where plans and ideas for new homes, new businesses and new projects of all kinds begin to take form in real life. Open House visualizes these dream structures through a colorful sculpture that plaza users can move around and within. It will also incorporate a gathering of culturally & personally significant Tampa street names contributed by Tampa community members.
