EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Meet Renee Lindstrom, a GIS Analyst in the Mobility Department. She has worked for the City of Tampa for 3 years and she most enjoys that her role helps spatial insight for her colleagues. “So much more makes sense when you can see where things are on a map and what patterns exist in different locations,” she said.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love getting to ride my bike on a day with free time and no obligations. Or going to a market or a museum is a great way to spend the day too. For special occasions, catching a performance at Straz is on my list of favorites also.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Tampa? I love how many quick and healthy options we have available for food in Tampa. Being able to order ahead is a must for my family and places like Fresh Kitchen, Taco Dirty, Soho Sushi, Pure Kitchen, Raw Smoothie Company, and Nana Middle Eastern Street Food make eating healthy a little easier for busy schedules. Rollin' Oats is my absolute favorite independent grocery store and has great prepared food and smoothie options as well.

What reality show would you want to be on? I would be a terrible reality show participant. 🙂 The emotional drama is too intense. Just sign me up to be on a travel show or a nature documentary please.

What are you reading right now? I'm reading "All the Light We Cannot See" right now. It took me a while to embrace it because it's a slow starter, but now I'm really enjoying the dual-perspective of the story and can't wait to see what happens to the 2 main characters as WWII unfolds.

What’s your favorite holiday? Friday. Don't you think each week should be celebrated? If I had to pick a second, I'm thinking it would be Thanksgiving. (Especially if I don't have to cook and can just do the dishes.)
